Jobber vs ServiceTitan: prices, plans and who each fits

Rather not build it yourself? We build the automation on your tools and keep it running. Get it built for me→

It's a Tuesday morning and you're in the truck between calls. Three crews are out, and your office manager has texted twice asking where the water heater quote from last week went. You've been putting off the software decision since spring. A buddy who runs eight trucks swears by ServiceTitan. The guy you bought your van from runs his whole outfit on Jobber. You want to know which one fits a shop like yours before you give up an evening to demos.

Short answer: Jobber publishes its prices and is built for owner-operators and small crews. ServiceTitan publishes no prices and is built for shops with a real office (a CSR booking calls, a dispatcher on the board, techs selling options at the kitchen table). Everything below comes from Jobber's pricing page and ServiceTitan's pricing page, both checked on October 27, 2026. Both companies change these pages often, so look again before you sign.

Jobber vs ServiceTitan at a glance

Read the feature rows closely. Jobber's plan cards are about getting paid and following up with less typing. ServiceTitan's are about running a bigger office: payroll, commissions, memberships and reporting by tech.

What Jobber costs by crew size

Jobber prices each plan by how many people are on the account. Here's what the page showed on October 27:

Plan Users Billed monthly Billed annually (first year, then)
Core 1 $49/mo $21/mo, then $29/mo
Connect 1 $139/mo $70/mo, then $99/mo
Connect 5 $199/mo $105/mo, then $149/mo
Grow 1 $199/mo $105/mo, then $149/mo
Grow 5 $299/mo $161/mo, then $229/mo
Grow 10 $399/mo $210/mo, then $299/mo
Plus 5 $499/mo $280/mo, then $399/mo
Plus 10 $599/mo $315/mo, then $449/mo

Connect, Grow and Plus also come in 10 and 15 user tiers, and larger or multi-location teams get sent to sales. The first-year discount is a promotion: the page says it's for new customers who subscribe before October 30, 2026. Budget with the "then" price, because that's what you pay from year two on.

Three add-ons are priced separately: Marketing Suite at $99/mo, Receptionist at $29/mo and Pipeline at $49/mo. The page also lists Pipeline, Marketing Suite and the receptionist under the Plus plan, so if you're on Plus, ask Jobber whether you'd be billed for them on top. The plan-by-plan detail is in my Jobber pricing breakdown.

What ServiceTitan costs and includes

ServiceTitan doesn't publish a number. The page describes "per-technician pricing" that is "designed to fit your business and goals, at any size," and each plan has a "Request Pricing" button where a price would go. You'll find ServiceTitan figures on review sites and forums. I'm leaving them out because ServiceTitan doesn't publish them and I can't check them.

The plans stack. Starter covers dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and the pricebook. Essentials adds mobile estimates and payroll management. The Works adds configurable payroll, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships. The page also promotes separate "Pro" products, such as Marketing Pro and Pricebook Pro, with no prices shown.

The page says nothing about a trial, onboarding fees or contract length, so ask about all three and get the answers in writing. Since you pay per tech, also ask who counts as a technician and what happens to the bill when you add a seasonal hire in July and let them go in September. More on this in the ServiceTitan pricing post.

The same five-person shop priced both ways

Take a shop with four techs and an office manager who answers the phone and does the invoicing.

On Jobber, if you want automated quote follow-ups and invoice reminders, the 5-user Connect tier is $199 a month billed monthly, or $149 a month billed annually after the first year. If you also want two-way texting and job costing, the 5-user Grow tier is $299 monthly or $229 annually after year one. Card fees come on top of either one.

On ServiceTitan, the price for the same shop is whatever the quote says. Before you compare, get the quote at your real tech count, ask whether office staff count, and put both over twelve months, onboarding included. A ServiceTitan quote that looks steep can still be worth it if you'd really use payroll, commissions and memberships. If you wouldn't, you're paying for screens nobody opens.

How to choose: count who's in your office

Both products schedule, dispatch, quote and invoice. Where they differ is how many people they expect to be doing those jobs.

Jobber probably fits if:

  • You or one office person answer the phone and send the quotes.
  • You have one to about fifteen people and want a price you can budget against today.
  • You'd rather try it on real jobs for two weeks than sit through a sales process.
  • The main thing you want automated is the chasing: quote follow-ups, invoice reminders and appointment reminders.

ServiceTitan probably fits if:

  • You have a CSR booking calls and a dispatcher running the board, and each needs a screen built for that job.
  • Your techs present good, better and best options on site and get paid on commission.
  • Maintenance memberships make up a real share of revenue.
  • Someone in the office will actually read reports on close rate by tech every week.

If you're in the middle, say five or six trucks and an office manager who does everything, start the Jobber trial and ask ServiceTitan for a written quote in the same week. If Housecall Pro is on the list too, I compared it with Jobber in Jobber vs Housecall Pro.

What neither one does out of the box

Whichever you choose, some of the week stays manual until somebody sets it up.

Start with the call nobody answered. Both products book a call once someone picks up, and neither one helps when the phone rings out while you're under a sink. A missed-call text back sends the caller your shop name and a question about the problem within a minute, and the reply lands where the office will see it.

Then there's the quote that goes quiet. Jobber's automated follow-ups start at Connect, but someone still has to write the messages and decide when they stop. The wording I'd start from is in these quote follow-up email templates.

Leads also come in from places the software doesn't watch: Google Business Profile messages, website forms, texts to a tech's personal cell. They should land in one list with the address and the problem filled in, so nobody retypes them.

And most owners want one Monday message with quotes out, jobs booked and money owed, without logging in to build a report.

That's the work I do around the software a shop already pays for. For a Chicago-area pool service company, I built the website, Stripe payments, and lead capture and tracking. Builds start at $500 one-time, then a flat monthly from $99 after an included run-in period, cancellable. What that looks like for a trade shop is on the plumbing contractors page.

What stays with a person

No software decides whether a twenty-year-old water heater gets repaired or replaced. Your tech looks at it, and you stand behind the price. A customer who calls angry about a callback should get a person, and that person should be able to fix it. The pick between Jobber and ServiceTitan is yours too. Use the feature grids for a shortlist, then decide on how your office runs in the busiest week of the year.

If you'd like a second opinion before the demos, or want to see what could run on its own with the tools you have now, book the free 20 minute process audit. We'll look at where jobs and money stall in your week, and whether the fix is a new platform or a small build around the one you have.
